SI’s Dan Wetzel, Ross Dellenger and Pat Forde recap all the action that took place this weekend in college football.
Coach Deion Sanders and the Colorado buffalo won a shootout against an in-state rival State of Colorado. The podcast delves into the pregame workout along with Shedeur Sanders’ impact on the Buffaloes’ offense.
The Tennessee Volunteers left handed Florida with a bad taste in the mouth after being bothered by the Florida Gators. Tennessee’s sloppy offense couldn’t keep up with Billy Napier’s team, giving Napier his first win as Florida’s coach.
Alabama beat USF this weekend, but didn’t look very good doing it. The QB rotation of Tyler Buchner and Ty Simpson couldn’t score or move the ball very effectively, leading the show to question what the best move forward is for the Crimson Tide.
In other games, the Georgia Bulldogs looked a little more human this week vs South Carolina. The departure of Todd Monken and Stetson Bennett seems to have more of an impact than expected. Also, the West Virginia Mountaineers defended their home turf this week against Pitt in the Backward Brawl. next, Fresno State gets praise from the boys after beating Arizona State 29-0. The Bulldogs are now the only team with two wins against ranked teams on the road this season.
Enter again IowaBrian Ferentz and the Iowa Hawkeyes he put up big numbers against Western Michigan. After the 41-point performance, Iowa’s offense is averaging more than 25 points per game and Ferentz’s much-publicized contract incentives appear to be on the way.
To close out the podcast, the guys give their breakthrough play of the week, hand out their Small Sample Heisman candidates, and play Say Something Nice.
